November began with a little snow storm. The weatherman said just a dusting for our area. Well, you can see we got more than that. It was okay Joel and Grandpa had fun in the snow. As of right now today that was the only snow fall we have had. It was gone within the week.
Joel had such a blast playing in the snow though. He loved the fact he had a snow ball fight with Grandpa Steve, but now some how Grandma Karen and mommy got in the middle of the snowball fight. Joel tried to make a snow angel but the snow was too compacted to make a good one. Oh well he got to have fun. He enjoyed having to wear his snowpants for atleast a couple of days to school.
Middle of the month my son's godparents and I took Joel to Air Lanes on the southside of Des Moines to bowl, and have some exciting fun. Well, needless to say we left a little early from bowling due to a little guys getting upset. We then went to one of his favorite places to eat Burger King. I am not too fond of the place but he loves it, and we wanted Joel just to have a good time.
Later in the month was Thanksgiving. Joel and I hung at home. I made a small thanksgiving dinner for the two of us. It was different from years past with atleast having my parents with us, but we got to rest a lot. The next day I took him to the Winter Parade uptown. Really it isn't worth going anymore like it use to be, but Joel had fun. We watched a movie at the movie theater with Joel's buddy and his mommy. It was free so can't beat that. It was Joel's first time time at the movie theater so it was really neat to experience another first milestone with him. We then met up with Joel's godparents right before the parade.
